Here we go folks! Gosh, there is so much that I want to do here and I hope you stick with me. You most likely already know how much I love The Glaser Brothers.

They entered my world when I was in my twenties.  I, like many, with no thought of passing time, was living the typical life of a working mom with two young children. My radio or stereo was always playing when I was home taking care of the domestic chores.

I do not recall any vehicles then having tape players, but by gosh, we had radios and while going to and from work and running errands, mine was always tuned to WDZQ, an area radio station that played all the Country Hits. Tompall and The Glaser Brothers were a 'given' then and heard frequently.

Saturday night was night out! My husband and I, with friends,  patronized the local  family tavern, The Mill, which served Schnitzel, (the real stuff), and had a Wurlitzer jukebox that played mostly country music selections. Remember the 5 for a quarter?  Well there, you got 7 for a quarter!  Paydirt! I remember repeatedly punching the proverbial "B2", "California Girl", by The Glaser Bothers while playing shuffleboard, even though I had the album at home.

I belonged to the Columbia Record Club then and accumulated most of my Glaser Brother's albums from that club. In spite of the fact that the town I lived in then, had a population of only 14,000, the only record shop there never lacked for the most current albums by The Glaser Brothers.  Thank Heavens!

This page may change periodically.  In any event it will still remain the page where you will need to come to for the updates and additions.

I want to kick the site off with a few music pages.  For now, I am featuring several albums by Tompall and The Glaser Brothers.  They have just been randomly chosen and each one will include two to three songs, with lyrics.

I took a personal poll regarding pages that contain music.  The general consensus is that most people prefer to control whether or not the music plays.  I further noted that these were individuals who visited sites that had nothing to do with music and the author just inserted his/her favorite tune.  After hearing the darn thing play over and over again, they left.

So, in consideration, you will find the Windows Media Player visible in pages that contain music, as is in the song pages in Jim's website.  By 'right clicking' on the player, (the bar with the little sun in it), a pop up menu will give you the options to pause/play, stop, even forward to the next song or reverse to the previous song.  You be in control, OK?

The music will stop automatically when you exit the page.  This is necessary so that multiple songs do not play at one time while you are browsing.

You may notice that some of the songs  have static or clicks in them.  I apologize for that but my only copies of some of these songs were taken from very old vinyl albums that were played countless times.  I will strive to attain better copies in the future to replace them.
