It has been total joy for me to once again hear
these songs and place the lyrics with them. I
never tire of picking them apart for the harmony
and the stories they tell. Not to just mention
the great voices of The Glaser Brothers and
giving credit to the writers of these great
songs, I am placing emphasis on the arrangements
also. How can you not help but think of the
late, great Bob Wills when listening to "Back In
Each Others Arms Again"? It seems
this group never failed to vary their
arrangements, yet was able to maintain the
classic style that they were so well known for
then. Be sure to listen for the
signature harmony of The Glaser Brothers in the
phrase "Oh what I'd give to just relive
them once again", in the song, "The Days When You
Were Still In Love With Me" and the lament of the
prisoner in "Delta Lost" as he returns to face
freedom.
I hope you enjoy the selections.
